01What happens when I join the waitlist?
You receive an email to confirm your address, then another when early access opens. A launch date has not been announced.
02Do I need to know LaTeX?
No. Use the Word-style editor with the same source library and citations. For LaTeX, Citerra includes templates for IEEE, ACM, Springer LNCS and Elsevier.
03Where is my unpublished manuscript stored?
Your manuscript is stored in the EU, in Ireland, and is not used to train models. You can export your work or delete your organization. Organization deletion has a 30-day grace period.
04Can I use Citerra under my journal’s AI policy?
Check your journal’s rules on AI assistance and disclosure. Citerra labels and records AI-written changes. Proposed edits enter the manuscript only after you accept them.
05Can I import an Overleaf project?
Yes. Upload your project as a zip. Citerra preserves the folder structure, including
.tex, .bib and .cls files and figures. You can choose the TeX Live version for compilation.06Does it work with my reference manager?
Zotero and Mendeley connect directly. For EndNote, Papers or Citavi, import a BibTeX or RIS export. Your document also keeps a
references.bib file for its bibliography.07Can I verify the assistant’s answers?
Yes. Open a citation to read the supporting passage. Answers use your document’s source library, and the assistant tells you when those sources cannot answer a question.
08Can I write with co-authors?
Yes. Members of your organization can edit the same document together, with shared cursors, comments and tracked changes. Version history keeps earlier drafts.
